A brief look at the club history
Trinity Old Scholars Football Club was established late in 2005 by some old scholars of Trinity College who had become disgruntled at their previous clubs in the Barossa & Light and Adelaide Plains leagues.
The group contacted other old scholars who were playing football playing who happened to be on the teaching staff at Trinity College and a working committee was formed. The working committee approached the SAAFL in late 2005 and TOSFC was accepted into South Australian Amateur Football League and fielded a side in Division 7 and Division 7 reserves for the 2006 season.
The first ever game was round 1 2006 vs. Paralowie which was also the first club win (B Grade). The first home game (and first ever A grade win) was Round 2 2006 vs. Western Warriors FC.
TOSFC was originally based at the Blakeview campus and played all home games from that site for season 2006, but moved to the current site at the Gawler campus in 2007.
A grade had an extremely successful second season making the Grand Final in 2007 moving the club up from division 7 to division 6 football for the 2008 season. Due to the number of old scholars returning to the club to play with their mates TOSFC added a C grade team in 2009.
Despite consistent finals appearances the club stayed in division 6 until the A grade side made grand final in 2012 against Woodville South FC. The club then moved into division 5 for the 2013 season.
The club is made up of approximately 85% Trinity old scholars and maintains strong links with the College and Trinity College Football Club.
